An Upside Day
The excitement makes it so hard to sleep
because I can’t stop thinking about gifts.
Nothing works. Not even counting the sheep.
Oh how badly I want my mind to shift.
Finally, I find peace, and start to dream;
having visions of jolly old St. Nick.

At last, it’s morning, I jump out of bed
Excitement fills my body and my heart
The good feeling rushes up to my head
The festivities are about to start
Swiftly, I made it to the Christmas tree
But sadly, there was no present for me
