Captivated
Joy came to me in the wildest dream
Curly metallic hair blowing briskly
Her watery eyes trailed me with scheme
But her presence suggested nothing deadly
Attached to me like an engravement
The mundane angel floated to and fro
Flashing phantoms wherever I went
Surrounding us in her heavenly glow
Lighting struck and grasped my hand
In an instant my heart swelled with love
As the lightning morphed into a gentleman
But light became horrors I won’t speak of
I layed gently twitching in my bed
Eyes sealed, readings in my head

This is a sonnet-like poem about how invested I get into what I read.
