Mickey’s Squeal
Long, long ago, I had a cockatiel
Who would whistle the Andy Griffith theme
But his whistle became a high pitched squeal
That made us all cover our heads and scream
The squealing that pierced like nails on a board
And rang in our heads all hours of the night
The sound was hell that could not be ignored
We despised his voice, and even his sight
How we loved that bird in the beginning
But love can change if Mickey starts singing
