Oh My God, You Were So Annoying In Middle School
You’re the very thing I’ve been taught to hate
Something abominable, dirty, surfeiting.
I glare upon you in utter distaste
You’re disgustingly frustrating.
Flipping through old photographs
Like a passageway through time,
I can recognize all the fake laughs,
As if asking for help was a crime.
You might have been obnoxious beyond words
And an absolute eyesore to all around you,
But deep within your torment was worse.
How you wished for someone who knew.
I now know how badly you wanted to be honest to someone, the outcome is so much clearer,
But I still loathe how every morning you stare back at your bully in the mirror.
