Vines of Demise
Vigilant about every move I made,
Always safe by sturdy walls around me,
I vowed to not let my loyal guard fade,
All you could do, at best, knock and flee.
Ruptures in me, daunting and disturbing,
Voracious vines ruin my home's steady walls.
Ensnared, immobile, my body writhing,
In a tragic plight, my mighty guard falls.
Breath of fresh air brought a strange sensation,
Vile vines tore me down; pure white they bloomed.
Behold a once desolate location,
Your fingerprints were all around the room.
Witnessing my collapse with pure delight,
Didn’t want you here, yet didn’t fight.
