Oh Summer, I Wait for You…
I wait and wait for twenty five degrees.
I have been waiting for extremely long
I miss the sand and salty ocean breeze,
and most definitely, the morning dawn.
I wish for me to soon be in July
I am becoming impatient faster.
So now I sit in bed eating a pie
Without sun I become a disaster.
I want my skin to glow like gold once more,
while I watch the sun set into the lake,
big chaotic waves beating the shore.
Just thinking about summer makes me ache.
It’s not that I’m not a winter lover,
I just overly prefer my summer.
