A Camper's Thoughts
Upon the canvas of the evening sky,
A tapestry of stars, moon bright shining,
In nature’s arms a camper’s heart will lie,
Amongst the massive trees, strongly breathing.
The crackling fire, keeping you bright,
Its light a safety, from the darks drowning,
Yet, the lurking dangers show in the night,
Unseen creatures, with their sharp teeth prowling.
Though rustling leaves, discomfort invades,
A dampened tent, a sleepless night unfolds,
Though, perseverance natures price is paid,
The downsides fading as that darkness molds.
Although the trials of camping are tough,
The soul finds comfort in nature’s presents.
