Pitter Patter
Pitter patter is heard as rain comes down
As clouds unite the sky looks dark and gray
And drops decorate the windows in town
And puddles are formed and kids say hooray
Drop after drop the rain keeps persisting
And the pavement is adorned with splatters
With the sun and rain not coexisting
Clothing appears stained from this clear matter
As the earth cries its millions of drops
The soil absorbs the weep of the world
Wells become filled ready for buckets to plop
Thirsty leaves are quenched and become uncurled
After this sob a rainbow is received
An adornment of colors are conceived
