A Sonnet for my Lover
My love, while new will never, will never fade,
But alas, I fear your affection will wear off.
Then, when I met you, instantly, my mind swayed
And that’s all I ever want to know.
But alas, I fear your affection will wear off
My trauma of abandonment still runs in my head constantly
If you read this, I hope you scoff
And heal my broken heart possibly.
Each day I tend to overthink,
My days before you were much less sweet.
My days now gone faster than a blink,
Again, I yearn for each day we meet.
In all of this to say, I love you so,
And I hope our fondness shall continue to grow.
