An Ode to New York Times Connections
Every morning lying in bed
I ponder life: should I get up or sleep again?
But then! Something awakens me from my dread
It is a game that revives my brain.
I jump up, ready to play Connections
My face bright with a smile, finally awake
Oh how this game holds all my affections
Let's hope I don’t make a mistake
I ponder hard, minutes pass
One group right! Onto the next!
I will brag about my win in class
I’ll send it to my mom in a joyous text
Still, I often lose a game that brings such happiness
Now that fills my day with crappiness

We learned about sonnets in my AP Literature class and one day in class I decided to write a lighthearted silly sonnet about my favorite New York Times game.
