What My Heart Longs For
My heart aches for a love no longer here
Floating beyond my grasp it seems to dwell
Taunting me for it’s never been so near
Yet my sorrows will not bid their farewell
Memories impale me with a pleasure
For this dreadful loss haunts my every bone
Now as I sit these thoughts I will treasure
Knowing that this love will never be known
I gaze upon every being with hope
Still trying to replace what’s disappeared
Yet I know I won’t be able to cope
For this heartache is always what I feared
This lonely echo rings relentlessly
Though, I will accept my fate helplessly
