Sonnet on inspiration
As you fill my thoughts, thoughts of you so true,
My hand scrawls these words in permanent ink,
But my brain can’t independently think
When it is only filled with thoughts of you.
Your beautiful voice brings words of my own.
Your soft hands over mine are in control.
Your simple, gorgeous presence moves my soul.
Your beauty leaves my mind never alone.
Your eyes on me are a glorious sight.
Your lovely lips can tell me what to say.
You’re all I could ever want, every day.
You’re all that is good and all that is right.
I describe you with rhythmic endeavor
Because you inspire me forever.
