Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious.....And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
-Walt Disney

Shining with the moon beams ‘round about you
Glistening tears, stars plummet from above
Your beauty overthrew me, and, I knew,
Never to behold, an unreturned love

Yet, as chance would have it, my luck had turned
For you had loved me, just as I to thee
So deeply our hearts passionately burned
Delightedly and happily lived we

My joy falling into a blind stupor
I realized not how our luck would end
Wistfully, blissfully, Shakespeare troupers
Clothed in black, your soul unable to mend

Subconsciously rubbing a lustrous ring
Waiting, waiting, when fate will cut my string

This was for a Reflections entry on the topic "Beauty is..." Here's a sonnet of someone losing their love. The end is a little confusing, but the person is by their love's grave, rubbing at their wedding ring for when they too will die. It seems almost like a Shakespeare tragedy (Shakespeare troupers). I was inspired by "Annabel Lee".

It's funny you're asking me to read your stuff. I actually read everything you wrote before any of my stuff was even posted. Your stuff is really cool. I have another poem that might come soon called Love Triangle, so pleaz look at it when/if it's approved!

What a great piece. It’s so understandable. You made it really easy to see where you’re coming from. I hope you keep writing, because this is really good. You should check out some of my stuff. I think you would like it.
