A Warrior, My Hero

A warrior, fighting against the cancer
as we ask God why he chose you
hoping for an answer
praying; for that was the only thing to do.
Final breathe, an ultimate goodbye
peaceful forever with the Lord above
your soul painless to freely fly
hearts aching just to feel your love.
Years pass, but the memory will never fade
loving father, son, husband, friend
for it is the ultimate impression you have made
as a courageous man who fought till the end.
An angel, a warrior, waiting at the Gates
Strong with our Lord, the very great.
