Artificial Love
Your love tasted artificial and sweet
It was like poison, affecting me quick
I believed I was in for a nice treat
I didn’t know one sip would make me sick
I try to gasp for air but it comes back
Inside begging and pleading for a hand
I need to get back and on the right track
But your love is sticky and hard to stand
How long can I go before I explode?
I’m about to break with each step I take
I need to relieve myself from this load
Before I lose everything at stake
Maybe it’s best if I just walk away
I cannot take another lie you say
