Day Dream Under My Hat
I’m pretty sure my friends think I’m crazy
Wonder if any of em’ really understand me
I’ve always thought about big things like that
There’s always a day dream under my hat
Can’t stand a mess made by anyone but me
Though I’m the sloppiest person you ever will see
Always forgetting where I put my key
Still chase the waves in the sea
Used to be scared that my future is unpredictable
Now I tell myself my spirit is unsinkable
You’ll find me outside climbing my favorite tree
Screaming to the world “it’s great to be free.”
Solve me a riddle I’ll write you a rhyme
I know who I am most of the time
Neighbors shake their heads sipping their tea
Call me freakish, but hey, that’s me
