Walking Home

While I walk down the streets
I think people stare as I walk by
I walk on the sidewalk where the road meets
I feel like each person catches my eye
Walking to my destination I begin to fear
I am scared of what is in the dark
I try to walk in the light where my vision is more clear
A man yells at me but I ignore his remark
Walking a little bit faster I pick up the pace
Building after building passes me
I will feel much safer when I get out of this place
I see men in the distance, not two but three
I turn and run, as they begin to chase
