With A Final Breath
A final breath, she lightened in my arms
I felt her soul a-leaving me alone
I knew where she would go, her loving charm
Heaven sent, angel upon a gravestone
Too easily, she had broken my heart
I would break it again without a thought
Love, it had a sting like a sour tart
Beautiful, yet it ties my soul to knots
My heart shattered, I grieved and had a cry
I replayed the moment, my breath gasping
When she gave up the fight, choosing to die
Leaving, her voice fading to ill rasping
Not for faint of heart, that harsh blow of love
Though still my heart flutters, wings of a dove
