New Threads, Freshly Cut

We are lost in a perverted kingdom
Bound to old ways we do not understand
A father's evil passed on to his son
And so the cycle will begin again

Children are told to stand up straight and smile
"Don't talk back child. How you embarass me..."
Appearances are kept up. All the while,
We hide our real selves, us actors we.

Sent to prison for six hours every day
Indoctrinated into tyranny
Told what to like, believe, learn, do and say
Their eyes are blinded so they cannot see.

This kingdom's children's wings are clipped, and then
This endless cycle will begin again.
