A Sonnet to Damein 1
A day dream bed in the sunset evening
Dying, golden light playing along your skin
The wind sweeping through, gently playing
This sight, held by my mind’s eye within
Standing fresh in the pool, your face brilliant
Even among such trim, green-blue beauty
You remain, solely sublime and radiant
Your eyes shine, seeing right through me
As the summer bells toll in your voice
Calling for me to join you in harmony
Between the star and the rising moon
So candy sweet your glory to me
Truly, you are my greatest ecstasy
Though you are only mine in fantasy
