Fires lift and the devil seeks his prey,
Something is growing and in due time fold,
Something holds back from forces that delay,
And remains to thrive until it is old,
Shifting and twisting regret mixes in,
Life soon turns bitter cold instead of hot,
Hard freezing, killing, and death now within,
Frostbite sets itself until it is caught,
Treatment starts a new war over the soul,
Blood is shed from life with its hope now dead,
The body turning into blackened coal,
To open permanent wounds in the head,
All over an experience we share,
I’m just at the point where I cannot bare.
