The orchestra tunes in high anticipation
All is quiet and the air is tense
Then the conductor cuts the suspense
And the stage fills with passion.
When does this passion become outspoken?
From the moment the notes commence
The way they play together gives a sense
Of a connection that cannot be broken.
Why then, do these players despair?
Their magic is under lock and key
Only those who truly listen can agree
We have the answer; completely unaware.
And we all pay the price for being unfair
The passion and beauty of music will never be free.
