Guardian Angel
I plead, I implore,
I beg on one knee!
But still you ignore
This desolation around me.
The plague that rages across the land,
The fires burning as if from Hell —
All the troubles can be stopped by your hand,
And still your indifference continues to swell.
Over there, a young girl sits in tears —
Will you not help her?
Should she live her life in fear?
Will you be so cruel, and not face the dare?
But— Oh! — the girl has stopped crying, is walking away...
Maybe just her belief in you has helped her this day.
