Peter van Daan: Envy to Love
She walks with pride as if there's nothing wrong,
I use to envy her. But when did that
turn into something more? She is a song,
clear and bright as day. She is a brat
no more. Instead she turned out to become
the most elegant woman alive, right
in front of my eyes. Whatever may come,
She will be the one I think of at night.
I dream of a future relationship,
but does she feel the same way? Only fate
can determine that. She has a good grip
on reality. For I am found negate.
Though I have many great reasons to thank
because I fell in love with her, Anne Frank.
