The Cycle
They fall like the thousands of mistakes I’ve made
Taunting me with the noise on my windowpane
Raindrops fall like bullets of regret
Each time it pierces you, you remember something you can’t forget
Lightning flashes, it’s the light leading you home
Will you follow this time, Or will your broken soul continue to roam?
There goes Thunder calling out your name
Will you answer this time, or look the other way?
I’ve been here before countless times
Where today and tomorrow are crossing lines
But that lasts only a moment before the cycle begins again
Here it comes, preparing to devour more innocent men.
