Hooked
I wake up early to prepare my gear,
and check the weather for the day ahead.
When the wind stays calm and the sky looks clear,
I commit to catching a massive red.
To start I visit my favorite spot,
where the fish never fail to take my bait.
The cooler quickly fills with the days catch,
and each new fish seems to gain a few pounds.
Oh weather, you deteremine my success,
the rough grey clouds or beaming yellow sun.
Which fish took my bait? I can only guess
and sit back while I reel in and enjoy.
I will always find new fish to hunt for,
I wil fish until I can't anymore.
