All of the flowers are dying down there
Surely you see it. It isn’t just me.
Your bitter words are completely unfair.
You love who I am, but hate who I’ll be
Kiss Christmas goodbye as I lie with you
We’ll pretend we aren’t falling apart
Blur the line between what’s mine and what’s true
I won’t be blamed for you breakaway heart
Your body was so warm against my own
So I had to go where the nights are cold
Don’t try to tell me I left you alone
For love, we’re too young; For Disney, too old
You know I know you know how this will end
Because this is the wisdom of a friend
