He Lives to Love
I wake each morning with my phone ringing,
A message a day, he'd greet me with love;
A soft tune in my ear he'll be singing,
As he tells me what his life is made of:
Planting light kisses upon my cold cheeks;
Catching my hand as it swings between us;
Showering me with sweet bakery treats.
"My goal for each day is to find a way
To turn up the corners of your small frown
For it is your smile that brightens my day
And your laugh that brings me up when I'm down"
Caressing my face and reminding me,
Of all the love his heart seems to carry.
