I don’t know if you’re hearing me
I’m probably singing to the void
But still it feels right
To sing through the night
It doesn’t matter that you avoid
What makes me feel free
I have to sing what’s in my heart
There’s no reason for me to hide
I know that no one’s hearing me
And I don’t care if they can’t see
So to the sky I can confide
My feelings that fell apart
The morning sun has risen high
And the spirit in me soars
Let me sing far and wide
No more do I have to hide
Behind these closed doors
Now I can tell my fears goodbye
You have always been around
Hearing me speak my mind
But, when I have to speak my soul
You can’t hear my words at all
And I don’t care if you can’t find
What my heart has already found
Because I have to sing what I feel
I’m tired of trying to hide
I don’t care if no one’s hearing me
And I don’t care if they can’t see
What I’m trying to confide
Because my melody is real
I don’t care if you can’t hear the plea
That fills my eager voice
If the sound isn’t superb
You can just kick me to the curb
Because this is my choice
To set my voice free
