From the deep dark recesses of our minds,
Evolves a soul pure and kind,
That cocoons our hearts in heaven's light,
Joy and pain, both are oblivion, our journey from one to the other, Oh what a sight,

A wise man once said to me, "there must be a greater will",
I cried out to the Father in vain, no answer still,
For thy hearts have wept a thousand tears,
Infinite are thy fears,

Tears of blood, Yet end not, until they've drenched thy in pain,
Yet too fondly I have loved the Father, too fondly I have cared yet in vain,
My Father dear you've never betrayed me nor given me reason for complaint,
Then why have thy sent me to this world where mirth is so faint,

Why Father dear, if thy can hear,
Answer me in haste,
Is this be a part of thy holy plan, or will my tears be a waste?
Will I forever repeat the symphony of the end,
Or will I fulfill the purpose for which I have been sent,

My Father dear, your love and care,
I know shall not be in vain,
If this be part of thy holy plan, I shall happily endure the pain,
If dark is the forest, if stormy are the clouds, if it ceases to rain
I shall decline reality and dream, dream, dream lest my tears drive me insane
