Please help yourself to a piece of my heart.
A piece that is ripped apart,
A piece that is torn from the whole.
My heart is broken as you stole,
What mattered to me most,
As the piece you took showed that you were a host.
I lost the piece that made me feel,
And that is something that can never heal.
I am dying to stay with you,
And still I continue to stay true,
To someone who cannot love me,
In romance that was not meant to be.
For you and I can never last,
Because we cannot escape the past.
