Underneath the Texas Sky

A place of alluring scenes
Where the cactus grow so high,
A place sprinkled with hints of green
Underneath the Texas sky.
The rocky terrain spreads vast and bare
While the winds blow right on by,
So quiet is the nature there
Underneath the Texas sky.
The days are hot while the nights are cold
Nobody seems to care the why,
This land is for the brave and bold
Underneath the Texas sky.
Ten years I called this place my home.
It is appeasing to the eye.
The place that I will always roam
Underneath the Texas sky.
