Closing Remarks on a First Love
Forgiving you might be slightly safer
Had I known to put up my walls before.
Do you think forgetting would be braver?
Do you think loving should be a chore?
Because I do not want to be scared of you
Leaving and never coming home again
Now, I found someone who will come through
But this does not have to be the end
I have chosen to think of my own life
And we were friends before we thought of love
Is your anger at me really worth strife
To cherish empty love, not friendship above?
That is up to you and this up to me
So move on soon and, or just let me be
