The Calm Water
In the peom "Calm Water," Will Ripplinger does a great job explaining the calmness of water. I belieave that all water: whether a lake, a beach, or it falling from the sky, is naturaly relaxing. For example when he states "water rubbing my feet"(Ripplinger line 1), it makes me feel like I'm on a beach watching the waves roll in. Water is a natural substance found on earth, and everyone needs it to stay alive. When Ripplinger writes the second line "Fish nibble at the bread", it reminds me of going to a park and feeding the ducks; while, the fish eat the left overs. As you can read, his writing is able to take people back to their childhood, where they can reflect on the good memories. I think he should keep writing because sometimes it takes a push to think about the past.
