Review of
The writing titled “Migraines vs. My Life”, written by "Holly", talks about a girl struggling with a migraine disorder. Her writing made me feel connected to her. I very much liked this article, mainly because I relate to it on a personal level. Some days, I have migraines so bad, that I can barely see what's on the board in front of the room, just like "Holly". She states, “My head was screaming too loud for me to even speak.” However, I have never had to deal with an incompetent doctor like she did. “I couldn't deal with her patronizing tone and unhelpful treatments,” states the author. Later in the story, I read that “Holly” may have struggled with self harm because of how helpless she felt. This enrages me because if her original doctor would have listened to her and not brushed her off, then most of her suffering could have been avoided. All in all, I really hope Holly in doing better and her migraines are better.
