A Restaurant for Everyone.
There isn’t a better home for a cheap delicious burger than Culvers. A restaurant first established in 1984 has grown its variety in its menu and their quality of dining.
First walking into the blue and white diner, toys, footballs, and plushies labeled in Culvers attire mantled in a glass cabinet shelf when taking your first steps through the glass doors. They muster the eyes of children like epoxy, raising dire pleads to have just one of those Culvers toys. Your nose is quickly greeted with the smell of warm fries and patties on a heat table. The menu high upon the wall stretches across the entire cashier table.
Three ready employees are stationed at the cash registers with natural smirks like a golden retriever about to be fed.
“How may I help you today?!”
I scanned the board one last final time to make sure I wasn’t missing out on something I hadn’t already read about.
“One butter burger basket please.”
The butter burger is amongst the top of the most commonly selected items in the restaurant. Their greasy, smashed patty, melted cheese, and their lasting list of toppings can be held accountable for its popularity.
Some other admired menu options include, the mushroom swiss burger, the fried cod, and pretzel bites. But nothing makes a meal better than it having the option for a side. When ordering the various sandwiches in a basket you have the option to choose between Culver's signature cheese curds, crinkle cut fries, or onion rings.
If you want to add some sweetness to your basket, the concrete mixer always does the job. A slightly blended shake of vanilla or chocolate custard that can be topped with fruits, and chocolate candies to nuts, and marshmallows. There are thousands of combinations waiting to be made. So whether it’s an Oreos and M&Ms filled mixer for your child, or a Heath Bar and peanuts filled mixer for grandpa, Culvers can accommodate all taste buds.
“Sir,... SIR?”
“Oh I’m sorry what were you saying”
“What side and drink would you like with your basket?”
“ I would like some cheese curds, and does a concrete mixer with Oreos work?”
“ Of course!”
Giggles and chatter fill my ears as I turn the corner. It’s packed with people. Over at the tables on the right there are grandparents that must have surprised their grandkids with some fun fast food. Over in the left corner booths there’s a group of teens excited to place their hands on their individual trays of food that were delivered by blue fitted workers. I decided to choose a smaller wall booth beside a window because the sun slightly gleamed down on the padded booth seat.
I sit down, and immediately I lift my hands.
What I thought was the after mess of another family actually happened to be fresh water strokes left from what seems to be a soapy rag. The table was smooth and crumb-less.
“Are you number 24 sir?”
“Yes I am, thank you!”
“Of course, here you go. Have a nice day!”
“You as well!”
The burger is quite greasy. It somehow managed to be on top of the bun as well, but as I bit down on the burger I immediately forgot the mess it might leave you with. It’s crispy but also soft. I pick up a cheese curd and pop one in my mouth. It’s crunchy on the outside, but has warm Wisconsin cheese that melts on your taste buds. I haven’t been more excited to eat in my life. I was like the little kids that had first seen the toys in the glass. Dying to just have one burger, one toy, just let me try one.

I love Culver's myself and being from Wisconsin myself, I tend to find myself enjoying their variety of meals.
