Determination
I can relate to him because running is a physical sport but mental too. A runner has to be at his best shape in order to get a fast time. It takes a long time to train to be able to run many miles without a break. Running is also mental due to how the runner thinks. The questions start to creep into their head: How am I going to do? Am I starting out too fast? Am I going to be tired after the first half mile? The runner is always determined to finish a race to show that all of his work has paid off.
