Have you ever wanted to become a warrior of peace. The way of the Peaceful Warrior is the book for you! It starts off with the main character Dan. He is a gymnist attending UC Berkley. One day Dan goes out for a walk and enters a mechanic shop. He meets an old man there who claims to be a warrior. He never says his name to Dan, so Dan just calls him Socrates. While leaving he turns as he feels like Socrates is staring at him to see him standing on the roof.

He returns to ask how he got up there but Socrates plays dumb. After an arguement Socrates tells Dan how to become a warrior. This is a turning point in life for Dan as the things he does to become a warrior changes him. During his trials he meets a women named Joy he likes Joy but notices something odd about her. Dan meets multiple people in his way to becoming a warrior also tought by Socrates. Each lesson is supposed to make him a better person and make him happy. By the end of the story Dan realizes what it means to be a warrior.

As I was reading this book I was shocked by how the author wrote the story and how it unfolds. The descriptive writing is a big part as the great imagery is important. When reading you feel like you are Dan himself. I recommend this book to all readers cause this book is a facinating story.

Funnily the author himself is named Dan Millman. I only read a couple of his books before and they were amazing. Dan is a great author who uses imagery to it's finest. The conflicts of the story always have you on your toes. Dan Millman also has this book as a series so If you do like it you can continue on to read.
