Whale Talk by Chris Crutcher
Whale Talk a book not even about whales or whales talking or is it. A book about a boy and his swim team. The book can be a thrill ride for those who enjoy sports in swimming. The book is suspenseful and will keep you on the edge of your seat. One high school jock T.J (Jones) one school Cutter High will embrace T.J the best athletic student ever to come to Cutter High. Whale Talk own T.J (Jones) is a real life kid who deals with an average everyday school. T.J is convinced a Cutter High school jacket will be the key to acceptance at Cutter High, He's right but also wrong. T.J (Jones) adapting to his new life creates his own swim team T.J and group of misfit merman's encounter overwhelming odds against a group called the Wolverines. Two happen to be in a white supremacist group. A world in which racism lived. Whale Talk will keep you talking about it asking questions and will paint a picture in your head. A safe to read book maybe, a fun to read book sure, a great book yes! This book should be shared in all schools and a great must read book.
