The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
The Lightning Thief is the first book of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Percy finds out who he really is throughout the book. Percy figures out that he and his friends are demigods, children of the gods, from Greek mythology. Percy is accused of stealing Zeus’s lightning bolt. Percy and his friends travel all over the country to find Zeus’s lightning bolt.
The Lightning Thief is a great book about a teenage boy figuring out who he really is. I became immersed with Percy’s feelings and thought. It felt like I was fighting along Percy’s side. I instantly got hooked onto the bbookcouldn’t put it down. The Lightning Thief is amazing and a lot others loved it too.
I would recommend this book to anyone ages ten to sixteen. Also anyone who likes fast paced action books should read it too. There is no shortage of villains and heroes in The Lightning Thief, the storyline is amazing. I would not recommend the whole series though because I did not really like the other four books.
