The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, The Hobbit, is praised by critics. It was published in 1937 and remains popular today and is considered a clasic. This novel is perfect for anyone who likes a fantasy story with lots of action and adventure.
The story follows Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit asked to join the dwarves on their quest to reclaim their treasure from the evil dragon, Smaug, who resides on the Lonely Mountain. Their quest takes them to various places throughout the fictional world of Middle-Earth.
The Hobbit has a very intense and fast-paced plot. From beginning to end, the story is compelling along with many likeable characters that enhance it. Tolkien uses plot and conflict to create an excellent fantasy tale.
