The Throne of Fire by Rick Riordan
The Throne of Fire
The Throne of Fire left me on the edge of my chair waiting to see the next action. The chaos god, Apophis, is rising from the dead. The characters, Carter and Sadie Kane, are brother and sister and they have magical powers. If they don’t stop Apophis in three days then he will destroy the world. The Kanes are in a sticky situation. They could have a chance to stop Apophis, but they would need the help of the sun god, Ra. It sounds easy right? Just find Ra and save the world; it’s not as easy as it sounds. First of all, they have to search the whole entire world for the book of Ra. After that, they have to figure out the chants of the book. The chants of the book are spells; they are useful because they help defeat Apophis.
Ra, the sun god, is very useful to help defeat the great god of chaos. The chaos in the story draws me in and makes me feel as if i have traveled back in time. The protagonists, Carter and Sadie, tell the story. My favorite character is Ra because in the book he is funny sometimes, but not always. My other opinion is that Sadie and Carter narrate the book in a way that I can understand what is going on. My last opinion is that personally the ending of the book is my favorite. Everything happens and all the things come together and make sense. If you want to find out what happens and if the Kanes make it or not, you will have to read to find out.
