Introduction
A little boy really wanted a dog, but his family wouldn’t let him have one. So, one day he was walking by an old school house and heard a something in the bushes. He didn’t know what it was so he kept walking. He turned around and there it is, a little beagle puppy. He didn’t know what to do because the puppy kept following him. So, he kept walking and walked all the way home and told his mom that the puppy followed him and wouldn’t leave.
Description and summary of main points
Marty, a little boy really wanted a dog but his family wouldn’t let him have one. So, when he found a dog he acted like he didn’t notice that the dog followed him all the way home. He goes up in the woods and built a cage for the dog to keep it up there. Judd Travers, the dog owner, asks Marty’s father if he has seen the dog and then he asks Marty if he’s seen it. He acts like he doesn’t know what he is talking about.
Evaluation
It tells about how a dog can change being good friends with a human. Also how they develop a good and friendly relationship between a dog and a human. Then he doesn’t give up the dog because he thinks that Judd Travers abuses the dog and Marty doesn’t want to give him back. Marty keeps the dog and Judd Travers eventually finds out that he has the dog.
Conclusion
Marty keeps the dog and takes it to the vet because something is wrong with him. After Shiloh stays at the vet’s office for a few days he comes home. They keep the dog and the family becomes very attached to him. Marty, especially becomes attached to Shiloh and his little sisters as well.
Your final review
What I thought actually never happened in the book. My thesis was way off and didn’t have anything to do with it. I really liked this book; it’s one of my all-time favorites! I would definitely read this book over and over again! I never get tired of it.
