Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis
The book Bud, Not Buddy was written by Christopher Paul Curtis and has 243 pages. It is set in flint, Michigan, in 1936. A ten-year-old motherless boy named Bud is about to have an Adventure that he could never forget. Bud is going to find Herman E. Calloway, Who Bud believes is his father. Bud must travel from Flint, Michigan, to Grand Rapids.
Times are tough for Bud, but that will not stop him from following the flyers that his mother gave him and that he believes is a hint that Herman E. Calloway is his father.
This book it has a little bit of action and is hard to stop reading. All the characters are well thought up. It also involves some real people. Bud also mentions some real people and places like The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Paul Robeson, and John Brown. This book is very interesting and I would advise everybody to read it. I would give it five stars.
