Xenocide by Orson Scott Card
Xenocide is the third in the remarkable and ever-popular series Ender’s Game which is very unique to me in that the farther I read into the series, the better it gets. The more the Ender’s Game Mythos delves into deeper philosophical questions and hidden meanings, the more easily understandable and clearer they become. Xenocide begins with Miro blasting off to meet Valentine on her trip to Lusitania. Ender and the other Lusitanians are now working to find a solution to the coming of the Lusitania Fleet, which is to destroy Lusitania and the and the remnants of the Piggies and the Buggers, the only other sentient and intelligent species in the known universe besides Mankind.
The problem and society between the Humans, Piggies, Buggers, and the possibly sentient and intelligent Descolada Virus is very well thought out and very absorbing, and the problem of the Lusitania Fleet and the Descolada is amazingly executed, and is a very good page turner, because even the smartest readers will not be able to see a real solution or resolution until it happens. I am looking forward to reading and finishing the fourth book, The Children of the Mind.
