Football Nightmare by Matt Christopher
Football Nightmare/ Matt Christopher
Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, 2001,128 pgs.
General fiction
A miserable memory haunted Keith's every move. Keith Stedman dropped the pass.
Keith Stedman considered quitting football for good because of one dropped winning pass for the undefeated season. His friends and family finally get him to stick with it and not give up. Keith has to overcome his fear of dropping another pass because there is another player challenging him for his starting role on the team, Larry Vincent is determined to keep the dropped pass alive until the two boys notice they need to settle their differences if they want to be on the same team and win games.
I think the author achieved their purpose because he made me realize that not everything is even half as bad as it seems to me and that just because something get tough I should just push through it and it will turn out just fine.
This book is one of the best books I have ever read in my entire life; it was very motivational and interesting. And if you like sport books then you will love this book.
