Indigo Summer
The star of the basketball team, Indigos boyfriend, dumps her for someone who will give it up. Now she falling for the true guy she needs, Marcus Carter.
Indigo almost has a perfect life until her best friend leaves her and they grow father and father apart. Her new neighbors are very friendly and in fact they have a son that will be going to attending school with her. She finds herself in a daze of love over someone who is not loyal instead of seeing what’s right in front of her. She is in a world wind of confusion and heart break in this story and is not sure how to handle the stress of the problems. Being in high school is getting harder and harder for her. She has ups and downs with love but she moves between the waves and is drowning in lust. This book is a life lesson to learn. Indigo has struggled but is finally making her way out of the confusing maze of love.
The description of this tells an innovative perspective of how life is for most people. Losing people you love the most, revealing heart breaking secrets, and even more. Indigo Summer leaves with a mouthful to say because it doesn’t hold anything back from the audience.
This story is a great wake-up call of what you just might go through in high school. People think things will pass them by like Indigo but they came knocking at her door with a nice big frown. I think this story is a great read for teens and middle school kids so they will know what to expect and not be so surprised.
