The Cellar by Natasha Preston
As soon as I read the blurb on the back of The Cellar by Natasha Preston, I knew I had to read it. This story was really realistic and made me realize what terrible things could actually happen. An ordinary teenage girl went to go out with her friends to a nearby party and her night didn't turn out as she suspected. Before she knew it, she was thrown into the back of a kidnappers van. Summers life just made an unexpected turn. She would be stuck in a criminal's basement with 3 other flowers. The 3 flowers all had a reason to be kidnapped in his eyes, but Summer was different. Everything in the basement ran as a normal life, the only abnormal thing was that they were kidnapped and were forced to be Clovers family. Many flowers would come and go, there was barely any tricks to survival. All the girls had to get through this together, if they didn't have each other those 8 months Summer was there, it would be terrible. Everyone at least one time tried to escape but there was a consequence. Being in the cellar made Summer realize how much she actually loves and misses her family. Summer boyfriend Lewis knows that Summer is kidnapped and alive because she would never run away. Lewis takes things into his own hands to find the love of his life. Would anyone be able to rescue these girls or, will they have to risk their lives to have freedom.

The great thing about this book is getting to see everyone's point of view. Therefore you can see how each person views their life differently. It gave me a better understanding upon each character's thoughts and emotions. It made me think how this could actually happen to one of us some day. If you want to read an emotional, suspense story, than this one is for you. Some chapters would leave off with a cliffhanger making you want to read more. Also just the whole plot of the story is very emotional. I would rate this story about an 8/10. The way the author set this up, made it one for many to like.
