Invasion by Walter Dean Myers
Invasion by Walter Dean Myer’s is about the stories of many soldiers including Josiah Wedgewood’s a 19th year old, American soldier who was part of the 29th infantry. He and his mates were forced to leave behind their normal lives and be ready to face war, because of World War 2. While learning to be a strong fighter throughout the war, Josiah learned from the good and bad. His life changed in many ways, he felt as a different person due to the harsh things he had to face. He gives you a closer and a more realistic picture of being a soldier in war.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes war stories. This book turned to be very different than what I imagined to be. It’s very real and shocking.
