A Corner of the Universe By: Ann M. Martin
Plot:
Hattie Owens a 12 year old girl who lives in Miller Town is trying to have a good summer. Hattie lives in a world made up of the residents in her parent's boarding house and the thought that she has a 21 year old uncle named Adam is not a good feeling. Adam is living in a special house in Ohio. He has schizophrenia and is being forced out to go live with his parents. When Adam moves in him and Hattie's mother begin to like each other. Even though her mom insist that she is hard to get along with. It's a weird situation to live with.
